My Precious Little Brother

And a few work in progress paragraphs from the as of yet unreleased chapter 30 of Wish:

"Nee-chan?" he whispered and looked up. Something wet hit his nose and he focused on the tears running down her cheeks.

"You're crying," he stated. She sniffled and her lips curled upwards slightly, before she rested her forehead on his own.

"So are you."

"Oh," he breathed out slowly. He hadn't noticed.

"You came for me?"

She frowned at him. "Of course you baka! I would have abandoned Konoha to find you if necessary."

Naruto felt fresh tears spill out.

"But why? I'm..." nothing. "We're not..." even related. Why would you care?

He stared at her, blue eyes desperately begging her to explain. She set him down on his feet and kneeled in front of him with a serious look on her face. Her features softened and she wiped away his tears. Gentle fingers lingered on his face. Slowly she leaned in and planted a loving kiss on his forehead uncaring of the dirt. Leaning back she meet his stunned blue eyes.

"Because you are my precious little brother."

Hope you enjoyed^^ I think I need to tweak the pacing a bit more, but I'm otherwise happy with it.
